Ambedkarite Learning ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Ambedkarite Learning mobile application and associated services (collectively, the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information when you use our App.

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Information you provide directly:

• Name and email address (for account creation)
• Phone number (optional, for account recovery)
• Profile photo (optional, uploaded voluntarily)
• Exam preferences and study goals
• Messages sent to the AI Tutor
• Answers submitted in mock tests and quizzes

Information collected automatically:

• Course progress and lesson completion records
• Test scores, attempt history, and performance analytics
• Study session duration and streak data
• App version and device operating system (for debugging)

The App may request access to your device camera. Access is requested only for specific, clearly defined purposes and is never used in the background.

We use the camera for:

• Uploading or updating your profile photo
• Scanning physical documents or question papers for reference
• Online mock test proctoring — to verify your identity and maintain exam integrity during a live online assessment session

You can revoke camera permission at any time through your device settings. Revoking permission will disable camera-dependent features but will not affect the rest of the App.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity
• Deliver courses, mock tests, flashcards, live classes, and AI tutoring
• Track your learning progress and generate personalised performance reports
• Send important notifications about classes, test schedules, and results
• Improve App features based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns
• Respond to your support requests and resolve technical issues
• Comply with applicable laws and prevent fraud or abuse

We process your data only where we have a lawful basis — typically because it is necessary to fulfil our contract with you (providing the App) or because you have given explicit consent.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the limited circumstances below:

• Service providers: Trusted vendors who help us operate the App (e.g., cloud storage, email delivery) under strict confidentiality agreements
• Instructors: Instructors of courses you are enrolled in can see your name and course progress to support your learning

• Business transfer: In the unlikely event of a merger or acquisition, user data would be transferred subject to the same privacy protections

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we erase your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., payment records).
